I just bought this knife.
Here's the claim:
Our newly designed low profile knife grip makes it easy to handle and includes a tool for removing shafts from the reef.
At first I thought it was a line cutter but after further inspection I realized there is not a sharp edge on the curvature to cut anything. I am assuming this is the tool used to remove shafts from reefs.
How does it work?

If you get a shaft stuck, you'll stick the loading notch of the shaft (the part that engages in the mech) in there.
That will give you a T-handle to torque/twist the shaft... otherwise it can be quite difficult to get a good grip on the spearshaft.

Not an elegant solution, but can be nice to have.
Never had an opportunity to use it, so can't vouch for its effectiveness.
Try it out and see if it fits on the back of your shaft.   :smt001
