Sounds like fun.

And I'm pretty sure night fishing on NM is legal.

I feel that's backwards..i think tuttletown is the easier launch location.  Glory hole has a couple of coves, not too far to carson. you can always fish the houseboats too.  if its december 1 i'll try but not sure - i have to pick up the fam at 10am the next morning..gonna be a tough sled if i'm out late.

Tuttle town bottom of second ramp one hell of a hill glory hole is at the lower launch (park at the water ) water is low and the house boats are now docked just outside angels cove (ramp closed)Carson is about a mile from launch.if the trout are moving up they will be sitting on the 3rd ramp parking lot at tt plus the left off the island should be holding some crapie inthe trees and the guys that wanna troll Mormon is a good run .. Just my .02  :smt006

last couple times we went out together at NM it was always launch at glory hole and paddle into carson. plenty of trees in carson to tie up to, and it can be protected from the wind at night time.  I think carson is the better place, but i always like tuttle town - easier to get to for me, i always feel like the extra 10 minutes to go to glory hole is not worth it, gotta go across the bridge, make the left, drive alll the way down to the lake.  i always just drive down to the water at TT, drop my kayak and gear then drive back up to park.

i definitely prefer TT to launch - but coming from modesto that saves me a lot of extra time on the round trip.

GH ramp and Carson is a good bet. Like the man said trees to tie up to and water coming in 2 different creeks. Protected in case the wind comes up.

December 1st, Carson Cove night rafting.  Launching from the Glorious Hole. Glory Hole Sports is VERY well stocked and carries the submersible lights in several sizes. There are numerous trees to tie off on and places to kick it on shore as well. I have a 14 ft Klamath that I will bring if enough like/want mothership coverage.  Totally legal at Melons to night fish and the cove is very well protected from the wind.

Live minnows under bobbers will KILL. Drifted crawlers will kill. Catfood chumline optional. Carp will come. Bows and arrows? Beer and arrows: good thing or not discuss amongst yourselves? Crappie Counting Coup?Catfish;FUGGEDABOUDDIT. Jackpot for he/she who catches the most species in one night?

We did a 2 houseboat trip to Oroville a few years back with a half dozen floating lights, massive chumlines and multiple people fishing into the night. Somewhere around 3:00 AM the BIG carp showed up and it was full on kingkong until an hour before daybreak.  I fell asleep early but mu bros emptied 2 houseboats worth of food into the lake in a chumming frenzy and we had to go home hungry the next day.
