I've been a member for a while but I haven't spent much time on the board.  Mainly I've used it to get reviews on a fish finder for my yak and some mounting suggestions.  I'm a member of the Watermen's Alliance and Monterey Bay Tritons.  I'm a licensed guide with the DFG and I teach ab diving and spearfishing to new guys.  I am an assistant scuba instructor and the shop I used to work at had me teaching their "hunting and gathering classes."  they charged people $100 per person and all I got was gas money and a free camp site so I figured why not just let the new guys pay for gas and camping and teach them to dive for free.  I don't think there's anything anyone can show you in one trip to the ocean that makes you a compitent diver anyway.  I know allot of the guys on the board already so I'll see you in the water.

I'm getitng off work now Jim, I'll post pics tomorrow.

Some of us are planning on coming down to Carmel in December and work our form before grabbing some fish.  We'll be looking to achieve some PB depths and times.  I'll let you know.

Awesome. I can't dive as deep as you guys, but would be stoked to come out and try and chase some fish with you all.

I think the only reason you don't dive as deep is, you get distracted by the fish on the way.
