Planning my ff/gps head mounting location.  I have a few places that look feasible with a RAM mount.  Where's yours located?  Like the gear track but there isn't too many, if any, places to mount one on my AI.  I have a bunch of ram mounts so I'm leaning that way.  I believe it was Scott who mounted his in the Port glovebox area ... correct?  That felt good when I did a dry run this evening.

As for transducer, heard mixed reviews from others who use structure scan with an in-hull mount.  Where's yours?  Personally, I am leaning towards a rudder mount. Thoughts?

Thanks!!!

~Bill

Left side of the crossbar on one of pat r ram mounts. Water bath in front of the mast tube. No issues with either

Thanks Eric!  Thought about left bar but questioned the "what if I went w/o riggers" on a trip or swapped rigger side so I was thinking left glovebox just ahead of rudder control.

here's mine. I didn't want it on an aka or on the side where I climb out all the time. You do have to sit forward to reach it tho. I know some don't like it that far away. I don't mind it. I have always done everything I can to keep my decks clear for fishing, exiting etc.

Thanks guys .... the front cross bar was my 2nd choice but it felt fairly far forward and I like to tinker with the ff/gps when things are slow.  Call me neurotic....
