Just an FYI that our very own Rockfish will be giving a Seminar at Headwaters on December 5th at 6:30 on how to target Stripers from a kayak (and hopefully win the tournament). Thanks Rockfish for making this happen. Your going above and beyond, and we appreciate it!

Anyone practicing this Sunday? (25th) 65' and 5-8 mph breeze... Tides, optimal time to hit it in the AM???

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Great intel there guys :)

Jeff - fixed, sorry - at berryessa, we anounced after the tournament and  suggested that people join FreshKATS, but it wasn't mandatory.  I don't have a reciept for you and show you as covered for Beryessa only.

Ron- I will call you Saturday (tomorrow) :)

I'm getting pretty excited about this event and the presentation on catching stripers from a kayak on December 5  :)

9-3 are some odd hours aren't they for a tourney? I'll be there crack o dawn to fish. See you all at the ramp at 9.

Hey Rob, don't diss on the time, us non-morning people appreciate a later-morning tourney, LOL.
In reality, I believe the others have mentioned that is has something to do with the tides....I suppose the fish come in? I am still new at this  :smt003

I'm usually on the water for 3-4 hours by 9am. It's a multi species tourney and all the species will bite without the tidal effect.

I posted up a general info topic on the Sacramento Port which will give the first timers to the port a basic guide on what the general layout is like and some helpful tips.  It is in the Places to Launch and camp forum.

I didn't realize this event was on a Sunday. I will try to make it. If I can, will I be able to sign up before the event?
