I think of Joel every day, from kayak stuff to delicious banana ketchup to "how to be a REAL GOOD person". 

I also understand the need for a break from time to time.  We'll see him soon I know

Sign me up for that group hug as well. We miss you dude.

You have been such a positive influence in my life, from that first meeting in S.D., to my first NCKA encounter (Bendo at Mendo III), through the years and through this fight with the recent demon of cancer. I always look to your insperation at every meeting and cant wait for the next. Thank you for just being who you are. Everybody needs a little private time and we all respect that, but when you are ready, don't forget you have a lot of friends who would love to enjoy your company a little longer.

Joel came by last week and I feed him lunch, typical Mooch. He sounds good and looks well. Just needs a break and is online on face book. He was on his way to Glen's (GWhiz) house to set up his kayak with a sail. Sometimes it's good to take a break from an activity you love. I have and it helped me refocus on why I truly participate in this wonderful site. 

 
It makes me proud to be able to call you friend, my bruddah.

Mooch is a great guy - I've known him for years but only met him once.  Send him a message on FB and he'll probably reply with a smile.   

Sometimes people just need some space.

He rode with me up to Folsom for a HOW event. We were stuck in traffic we kept each other laughing the whole way..him messing with me being a white guy with a harley, and him on a scooter.  Mooch you are always welcome to ride your scooter with me!
