Hello all!  I have been lurking on this site for a while now. I guess this is when I introduce myself. I have been paddling for about ten years on and off. I am currently paddling a 17ft wooden sink that I built many years ago. I am also a fan of float tubes. I am being swayed over to fishing on a kayak made for fishing. Fishing from a narrow wooden kayak is extremely awkward to say the least. I live in Auburn and love to fish the mountain lakes around here but I would also like to try my hand at some of your saltwater and delta trips. I l also just finished my own 1/4 acre bass bluegill pond...a minnow trap or two and I shouldn't need to buy minnows. I grew up on the Mendocino coast so I am no stranger to that. My wife and I went to see Victor and Dan down at Headwaters “ great guys and great service” and am ready to pull the trigger on either a Jackson Big Tuna or Cuda. I look forward to meeting all of you on the water when I get outfitted.

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

1/4 acre pond?  Sounds like you have a very large backyard!   :smt007

Welcome to the madness!

I just had an awesome idea.  You live in Auburn, and I live in Auburn.  You have a 1/4 acre bass pond, and I am looking for a 1/4 acre bass pond to fish.....

If you ever need a carpool to the coast, gimme a shout.

What kind of minnows do you have in your pond?

I would check the regs before using your pond minnows elsewhere... We wouldn't want to spread invasives.

@ATD
I just finished the pond so it's not ready for fishing just yet. The minnows that I stocked are fathead minnows
