Does anyone here carry a kayak on an RV.  I have a class A RV and was wondering how to carry a Trident 15.  I hope to have my kayak in a month or so but was wondering how others carry one on an rv.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I tow mine.  Picked up a single PWC (personal water craft) jet ski for short, trailer and modified it to hold my kayak.  They are on craigslist.  Usually someone buys a second jet ski and now needs a tandem trailer and looking to dump the single trailer.

Thanks Rob, I'll do that.  I am trying to stay away from a trailer.  Once I get my new car dolly I will just strap the kayak on to the car I tow which is my daily driver.

I tow my behind my RV on a trailer, but:

a.) I recently bought a Jeep Wrangler to tow behind the RV; and I'll put a kayak on top of that. or,

b.) I more recently bought a Mini-X, which is only 9' tall; which I plan to strap on the rear ladder of the RV and it wont extend any higher than the AC unit on top..... or,

c.) Open the rear emergancy window and shove the kayak inside (but only if the wife dont find out).

Good idea but my cats would probably make a break for it while going down the road.  Then my wife would kill me and I would be totally bummed.

nah.... once I get it inside the RV, I just lay it in the center aisle and close the emergency window..... I may do this for Tiki if I decide to bring the RV; wife aint going, so she won't know.....  :smt044

Duh, I didn't even think of putting it in all the way and then closing the window.  It is the simple things that seem to slip by.  I'll have a bunch of shots of 100 proof rum waiting for you at Doran if you go to crabfest.  I'll be the one pulling the kayak out of the back of his RV.

Thanks.

and I though that it was hell putting my kayak on top of my excursion. if I was to try to put my hobie adventure on top of a RV my back would break in half.

I think you may need a trucker license to tow a trailer behind a 5th wheel. better check with DMV website.

Only if you exceed a certain length... He already done his research.
