New GoPro model in time for Xmas????

Howard, I read down into the comments and found this......



"Gah, getting tired of people complaining about how "gimmick" 4K is.
Here, let me explain: Yes, you don't have TVs or monitors of that resolution right now, and yes, 15fps is a pretty big limitation for sports cam.
But GoPros, despite being targeted as sports cam, are actually used quite a lot outside sports.
4K is great to have when you're going to edit those videos.
You can set the target timeline to fullHD, and then use the 4K resolution as safe margin.
And guess what? One of the things (which is pretty big for GoPro footage) is: image stabilization.
When you do image stabilization in post, using software like After Effects, you usually have to crop borders. The ammount depends on how shaky your video is. So you either set the resulting video down to HD, or scale the video up loosing some res.
With 4K this won't be necessary. You can have stable video in post, fullHD without loosing any res.
And as I understand, this new version has tons of options in between, including 60fps fullHD depending on what model you buy.
So yeah, 4K might not be as big a thing as marketed, but it isn's useless by any means. "

Me too Howard. Someday hope to buy one of these cams......& then soon after they'll come out with an even better one. 

I'm sure they're on a 2 or 3 year cycle...2 years this time around.
