Are there any bait shops near Tiki that sell live minnows?

I'm just doing a day trip so I'm going to buy minnows in Sac and hopefully with an aerator they'll still be alive most of the day. Plus i don't want to take any chances with over 90 anglers participating I'm sure the local shops will sell out quickly.

Last year the local shops were sold out of the Jumbos.  I think someone tried to get them to boost their orders but it didn't happen.

Red worms will work to get bluegills along any stretch of rocky banks but the bridge bite will be over by then.

If you are coming into Tiki from I-5 there is a bait shop on the left just as you are leaving Stockton.  I seem to remember it being called J's or something like that.  Yes, they were out of Jumbos last year when I got there, but their large minnows were plenty big.  Good luck gentlemen, I cannot make it this year but I will be thinking about the NCKA fun.

Live bait?  I plan to attend the Tiki event, but haven't a clue how to fish for strippers. I thought I would just use standard bass fishing techniques.  If anyone can provide a link or would like to maybe outline how to fish for this Tiki gathering, I would be grateful!!

Skipro, some guys like Jumbo minnows, but you can't go wrong with a chrome and blue Rat-L-Trap or a crawdad colored crankbait. Swimbaits are great as well.

Hap's bait in rio vista is great if you are coming in from the bay area (open @ 5am) .... H&R bait is on hwy 4 as you get off the freeway (hwy 5) 3 or 4 blocks up on the left side... Called them and they are going to order extra jumbo minnows... They open at 4:30 in the morning and stay open till 7pm Closest to Tiki and convenient... Small store and gas across the street... AS A REMINDER THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST AREAS IN STOCKTON... LOCK IT OR LOOSE IT... Safe in the parking lot, mostly, be aware of what is going on around you!!!!!!! As you exit the freeway going further into Stockton away from the delta is NOT ADVISED

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Ron, part of your payment for the camping will be to bring me some bait in your ice chest. Enough for two. When you coming in?
