Just purchased a new suit from Mako and they recommend NOT using hair conditioner, stating it breaks down the neoprene. They say to use Suitslip, which of course they sell for more than hair conditioner. For the nominal cost of it, I'll follow their advice and use it.

If they recommend a product like suitslip I would ask them how they know that it doesn't break down the neoprene.  There is supposedly some 1.5 year study with chemists and neoprene manufacturers that nobody that I have ever heard of has seen.  I guess the easiest way to get it would be top ask for a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) that is by law supposed to accompany all chemicals.  Then we could find out what is in the bottle.  My guess, Cure Care.

Tote,

Make sure to get enough lube in the arm shoulder area. If not, you will feel the pressure of the suit resisting your natural body motion. Make sense?

Don't be shy with the lube!

Vanessa had so much lube in the suit I could literally make the whole suit move up and down my legs by pressing my hands up and down on the thighs.
I'm familiar what it means not to be shy.  :smt003

That was an interesting suit.
Not quite zipperless, but I knew what they meant.
I did read about using plastic bags. It was nice to see it being done.
My concern would be taking off the suit after using the plastic bags.
I guess I'll knowmore after I actually use mine.
I was hoping for this weekend but it seems I'm coming down with the crud.
Going to go get 4 shots of wheat grass at Jamba Juice right now to see if that might give my body what it needs.

I used baby soap for years.  It is very mild and the best part was it reminded me of my babies during bath time, one of the best parts of the day for me.

There is another video on their YouTube about suit removal. As far as the upper half of the suit, I just use use the roll-up to the chest from the waist and repeat the bag trick on the arms

Used to do a LOT of white water rafting using wet suits.  Never used lube.  I used a tight fitting set of poly pro underwear.  My wet suit slid on and off very easily.  On my feet I wore very thin poly pro socks.  Socks on first, then the pants so the socks were tucked into the pants as they went on.

Tote just got a suit made specifically for freediving, they're not like a standard wetsuit for other water sports.  They have no inner lycra skin glued over the neoprene which allows an unparalleled freedom of movement and comfort.  The only issue is that the unlubed neoprene sticks to you while you're putting it on and they're susceptible to tearing. Undergarments kinda defeat the purpose of the skin in suit.

Thanks for clarifying that Agarcia.  I've never used lube on wetsuits either and sorta thought this entire thread was a joke. Now it makes sense.

Goes to show ya how clueless I can be of my surroundings.
I went online to see where a Sally Beauty was located close to me.
Turns out Becky has one in the same parking lot where she works.
I drive by it daily and never even noticed.
I walked in and asked if they had a gallon of Cure Care.
"Hardly anyone ever asks for a whole gallon!"
$10.23 with tax. Now I am good to go.
Thanks Fuzz.
