Strike has started. Sacramento bakery is honoring Seattle's strike.....

Company just closed the Seattle, St. Louis, and Cincinnati bakeries. More to close in the very near future.

If Sacto doesn't start producing bread.... We are done!

Damn Strikes suck...I was out 100 days in the Grocery strike in 79. Worked in the Distribution center for Luckys in Vacaville.
Not to mention jail twice:(
I was with IBT 490 in Vallejo then. TImes were real lean. I hope they settle soon. West coast has good leadership representation in DC now.

Thanks guys. I'm going to be on the wrap up crew so I'll work 2-3 more weeks. Everybody else, including my G/F, is out of work!!

With OT most of the truck drivers earned low to mid $70K a year.

The Bakers that went on strike averaged $50-$60K. With some making over $70k a year.

Bunch of good jobs......Gone!!
