Who is bringing pots to cook? I know last year there were some that had water going at the Day use. One less thing for me to pack if someone wants to share.

Another rookie crabbing question. I have a couple new Danielson 4 door collapsable traps. The trap doors have a rubber band attached. Is that just for transport or should I leave it on? Don't want to drop it down with the doors essentially locked and wonder why I am not getting and crabs.

Best,
Phil

Sunrise, may be earlier for the opener. The park is open but the day use area has a gate.

Man i wish i planned this better! Early wake up for me and 2.5 hour drive. Hopefully this effort pays off with crab in my pots. See you guys there!

BTW has anyone had any luck using crab snares off the shore/jetty? I'm bringing my dad who's a nonyaker but he was hoping to catch his share crab from land.

I purchase some of these crab snares last week and i never used anything like this before so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bert

Snares work great from the jetty. Last may I snared from the jetty and had six keepers in about 45 min

I've caught limits from the jetty. Might have to add a little bit of weight if the tide is in full swing.
