Nightly Camping Fees still Apply, so make sure you pay at either the Harbor Master Office or the Electronic Pay Post by the Launch Ramp.

So am I going to be able I put my trailer down by the kayak shop or in the parking lot. Sorry I'm a little confused.

If there still is room down in the designated area by HMB Kayak for us (we can only use the side long the waterfront, as long as we do not extend beyond the travel path for the overflow PB trailers) when you arrive, then you should be able to park there.

If not, you will have to park in the main parking lot; but it is usually filled up by then. The Middle Lot is used by the Commercial Crabber to store/stage there gear and the upper-right lot is the boat trailer parking.

Do you mean the dirt area behind HMB Kayak, or the same parking lot as last year's opener?

Plan 'A' - right next to Half Moon Bay Kayak (see picture below, area marked in Yellow)
Plan 'B' - park in the lot right across HMB kayak; but not the lot next to the restaurants.

Cool Glen ill come over Friday noonish to make sure I get a spot.
I have a three burner camp chef and a single all can be used for the community.
1 extra table and a few other goodies by the time I get loaded up.
Tons of extra crab gear, pots, rings also available or anyone who needs.

Here's how I picture the parking:
Blue/Grey = My RV and kayak trailer
Blue/Yellow = Jimgosc RV
Blue/Pink = Kayakjames Truck & Trailer
Black/Orange = Truck/Car parking

In the center is where we will put the canopy & tables; and put up lights for the night chilling. If you (James & Jim) have 100' hoses, we can probably 't-off' of HMB kayak's water faucet; will have to ask them if its okay...

Please don't park outside this designated area; we don't want to jeopardize future "chills" by pissing off the Harbor Master or HMB Kayak. Remember, we are there guests!

Whats considered camping? Just parking overnight or having an RV/trailer?  I will be in a regular sedan and coming on Friday and just crashing in my car.  Do I need to pay the camping fee?

That's another fine line... use your best judgement.

They do patrol in the early morning to see who has paid for overnight parking; but its difficult for them to determine whether or not a car has arrived early morning to jump on a party boat. If questioned, please be straight forward and pay; especially if you are parked down by the HMB kayak area that they let us use.

For my trailer and RV brothers... should be straight forward.

For my powerboaters, if you have a berth, then your vehicle and trailer is good to go; including overnight camping...

Not exactly sure; havent camped there since last year. Just park your rig, then walk up to the Harbor Master's office to pay...

ps: do you have a 100' garden hose in your trailer?

I got a 25 foot white potable hose and I can toss in a 50 foot or so garden hose
I can also go check Home Depot and see how much a long one will run me

DON'T use the 'potable' hose; you shouldn't contaminate it with non-trusting spigits (sp??)...

bring the 50', we will try and make due....

The camping fee is $45/night. Kinda steep but it also includes the boat ramp fee, which we won't need for our kayaks.

I will try to be there at 4-5 pm.

Does anyone know if there is a potable water source?
