2013 Rockfish/Lingcod opener for Shelter Cove - How do you unsticky?...

Ed Roberts of DFG got back to me - he is "99% sure" that the opener will be on Wednesday, May 15th, 2013.

Wednesday!  Wow...   

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12th, so maybe we should shoot for Saturday, May 18th...

I just can't see having the tournament on a Wednesday...   

Tourney sat the 18th would be great. I sure will be there before the weekend to check things out for sure! Can't wait.

Yea! for the 18th and prefishing. Such a long drive and so many fish to catch. I want to catch a Hali that makes Randall's 50#er look like a throwback

How many of you already called the Tides to reserve a room for the 18th?

I'm considering calling the campground so ya'll don't take my spot like ya did at Albion 2013!

Just talked with Julie at the tides,
Looks like if you have a reservation for the event, she will move it according to the final decision.
It is good for me either way so just give us the official date ASAP and we can arrange for vacation time.

Julie and the campground are going to have to deal with it if things change, but for now I'll say I'm planning the tournament for 5/18/13.  I'll firm it up by December or so.   

I like the opener too but the opportunity to fish the day before the tourney is always appealing to me.  I plan to attend regardless of the date.

Then it's "official" 219 days to go...
