Short Story:
Kayak - 0
Friend fishing from the beach: 18.5 lb, 38 inch lunker!

Long Story:
I got on the water around 7:45. The tide was going out and the water was choppier than it's been all week. I trolled for striper along the shoreline. Since it's June I thought I should give it my best shot for salmon so I trolled 2 miles out to find no bait. All the bait was inside near the shore. My friend who was supposed to go out with me decided to fish from the beach in his secret spot. He hooked this lunker!. It looks like the beach fishermen are doing better than the kayakers.

that Chop only lasted an hour or so but kept me off the water. I completed some home projects and hung out with my son at the beach when I saw you come in.  I am hoping for some action in the morning,  I think I will give it a try no matter what.

I went out at 11:00 for a few hour padled about a mile out side of the point. I didnt get anything. On the way out a skiff was coming in and he said that they didnt find anything but the stripers were busting in the surf by the trailer park. after I tro;;ed for a while I came in and went to the pier to see if anyone was getting anything on the beaches and there were huge schools of bait all up and down the beach. I plugged for a while and saw no fish. Hopully that bait will draw some salmon in and come down a few miles.
