Linda mar beach is a good launch. Decent rockfish and ling action sometimes with a chance at other species as well.

Stripers, Salmon, Halibut and Wsb have all been caught there before.

The south side of the beach is usually the calmer spot. I've always wanted to launch from rockaway to the north but its usually a lot rougher than linda mar.

Thanks Eliot,
I've surfed a bunch at Rock away and Linda mar in the past,  always wondered how the fishing at those rocky points would be?
Will definitely give it a try when the waves are down.

Vis tends to suck @ linda mar, but I've seen times when it was a good 10' (once). But in that time, saw some cabs, greenling, a 3' ling, you know the usual  :smt044  Also taken a few dungies there during the season, but not a ton. FWIW, I tend to not even try if the swell is 4'+ there, but haven't looked at it with the idea of yaking yet, so I haven't figured the launch limits yet.
