So sorry to hear news like this.  It is my greatest fear every time my wife is a minute late while out driving. 
If Scott doesn't have a church family to help him through this, tell him he does now; pass along my phone # to him.  (I think you have it.)  Let him know that he and his family are now added to our prayer chain and there are dozens more now praying for them all.
