I'm down for a couple of the gigs.  Sounds Awesome!!!

You should not have to worry about rowers at the PoS in December.  There's nothing on their website scheduled after mid-November.  It's not pretty watching Matt's head explode when the dude with the bullhorn starts barking at yakers.

Sturgeon is a pain in the ass...
Like I said, I'm open to suggestions, If Freeport has good facilities I'm down for it, I have never been there tho...  Gonna need your expertise on this Adam  :)
Thanks guys, planning in progress now :)

So Here's what I know so far:

Folsom will need to be a day event only, I'll  see about doing a separate night event at some place like the Port, Camp Far West, or Amador, but the nice Parks lady said NO to night fishing, even if we stayed in the campgrounds.  They wont even let us do it "boat in" style, as after dark we would have to stay in the CG's and off the water....  More to be learned soon on the Folsom event.

As far as Sturgeon, still looking for a place to do it.  I am concerned about doing it on the Sac River because there is a much greater risk factor there and new yakkers may not do well anchored up, or trying to land a very large fish (without a snare to boot, pending regulations)  So I am looking for an alternative location.

Folsom Daytime on Oct. 7 is still good
Amador Nov 4 is still good
Port of Sacramento Dec 2 is still good

Work Continues....

Petaluma river. Big no no. Just my .02 Let the Sonoma County Chapter roll with that.

Go up towards Tote. Or higher in the
Mountains.

I would tread lightly when naming Sturgeon spots, otherwise I think you are gonna piss people off. I reccomend using well established spots that everyone already knows about.

Sounds like fun! Check out Bullards bar reservoir. Boat in camping allowed. Cheap, and lots of fishing options. I'm around to help out...
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Bullards bar is interesting, but drive-in camping is tent only at Dark Day and the RV sites are quite a ways from the launch areas, I would prefer not to split up the group too much if possible.
