Checked out the launch with Gordon around 230 and it was beautiful. Saw a guy trolling the shore line and another out far.  Nothing for the shore troller, didn't get a chance to see the guy far out.  about 3 after running some errands I noteced birds working right on the shore break, nobody fishing, I had no gear.  I headed home, called the wife.  She told me to make dinner then fish.

It played out like this.  Got in the car to get Garlic from Safeway, on my way I scouted some territory to see if birds were working.  LM was packed in the North Corner and birds were diving.  I saw guys running frantically, I new fish were in. Still I went to safeway and picked up garlic, rushed home to make pesto  :smt013 and I was literally on the beach 30 minutes later.  6 fish total for 4 guys to 15 lbs, that last one up as I stepped on the beach. :smt010  I fished for 45 for my 3rd goose egg.  Timing is everything!

Bait and stripers were in definite Kayaker range in the North corner after they moved off the beach.  Just didn't have time to load the gear.  There were a few Kayakers out so hopefully they will post with positive results.

dammit jselli! just when I make up my mind to go up to Dux in the a.m. you throw in a little striper temptation

Sounds like you ought to do a little book on quick recipes that get you fishing time

I'm thinking of Linda Mar or Bolinas on Saturday...LM is a much easier drive/paddle, so I'm not sure what to do. Stripers would be great...maybe bring my spinning rod and cast plugs for a few hours in the AM. I'm also thinking of Alameda for halibut/stripers. So many options...
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

i was the one out on the grey kayak. i didn't get nothin! not even my crab trap got any action!

i was just practicing tossing my kroc lure and something bit and took off but it shook loose. i have no idea what it was. i know it was not a kingfish though. i usually catch those things so i am super familiar with their action, im a frickin kingfish magnet it seems.

nice day to padddle around though.

it was warm!

It was beautiful. Today seems stellar as well. I am hoping to head on Saturday morning, I may even make the paddle to Mori if the water and weather are conducive.  Bait should be thick.
