I use Big Hammers and still will, heck I was using one at the Cape last week, but a fishing buddy turned me on to these swimbaits that are bigger, thicker and heavier which last longer and keep the little fish off.  These are almost 3/4 inch thick on top.  Here are a few examples:

They are real similar, but they come from a buddy up here in Humboldt who used to work at a tackle shop in San Diego.  He got me a bunch of these baits because I gave him a net a couple months ago to help him out for salmon, lings, etc.

I will be more than happy to see yall guys talk shit to my face and see where that gets you.

I'm not "butt hurt" by your statement....just annoyed. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions. It's all how you present it.

No but I have used regular 1-2 oz jigs with white 6" single tail grub off the jetty like 8 years ago when the salmon were so thick off the jetties that we caught ~20 in a weekend

Mantanaska those look like KustomKraft. I like that brand a lot too. They have a  really thick profile which I like.  I use both as its sometimes easier to pick up a pack then make them.
