4oz red or green heads seem to be the ticket for me.

Color doesn't seem to matter much although I tend to use Halloween when available.  I like the 6" paired to an Andy1975 leadhead.

You guys run your big hammers so heavy try running a 2oz head.  I dont use over a 3 oz ever an  that only on a windy day when the current is rippin

My favorite color is dorado by custom craft for big lings.  I make that color for myself. Big hammers closest would be fire tiger.  If I were buying swimbaits it would be Big Hammer.

Actually I was impressed with the durability of the one I got at shelter cove. Still have it tied up to one of my rods. Seems like they are using a more elastic plastic.
