Ummm, why wouldnt you trust? Ive sold to people on pier and surf before? I sell on ebay. Honor, Courage and Commitment. First thing you look at RTC. I dont lie or steal. I just have alot of stuff and live in a barracks room.

If your first post is trying to sell a bunch of stuff, well enough said, I think we get your drift. If I have misjudged you, I am open to hearing your point of view. Most here take offense at people who have never posted here or are not a contributing member of the forum.  We see 1 post and that post was, in short, "hey, I have all this for sale .... send me money and I'll sell you tackle".  It comes off as another person only out to promote a business or make a quick buck off the contributing members of the forum.  There are a lot of members on here who own tackle companies, work for kayak manufacturers, etc but you RARELY see them try to make a buck off the fellow members.  We ALL appreciate good deals and bargains on tackle supplies but we often like to know who we are supporting in the effort ... that's all.

I don't believe your original post gave us any indication you had been from this area, knew any of the members here or gave us any indication of trustworthiness visa-vi, an ebay account, etc...  Not bashing, just supporting why some of the reactions came about.

Hey man, check this out. People around here just want to get to know you better before they start buying stuff off you. Since you fish so much, bring a camera with you, take a bunch of pictures and post up a report on here. It doesn't have to be a local report, or you don't even have to catch anything, no one cares. Just start posting stuff up. Then carry on with the sales. Basically, that's what's up, we like to read fishing reports And look at pictures- no one here cares where they come from. We get reports from everywhere and people dig them. Build a reputation of being someone who posts cool East Coast reports once in a while and the sales will come much easier. Obviously by my name, I was in the Navy. So consider this a favor for you bro. I'd be all for supporting you, I'll check out your eBay store.

A lot of ex and current military people here. I think you just cast the wrong lure as your first post; it looked way to suspicious given all observations previous threads mentioned. Check the compass again and re-shoot azimuth... wait does Navy do land-navigation!?

   Biteon, as you have seen, were a pretty protective bunch here.  I don't think your going to get far until you have a few posts / reports under your belt.  Surefire way to get highlighted as a "Spamer" and possibly banned as such is to come in and try an sell a bunch of stuff.  I'm sure you will encounter this kind of reply from other sites as well. 
  Most people despise "Door to Door" salesmen and a "Door to Door" salesman is exactly what you came off looking like.

Instead of piling on, can you let the mods do their job and reach out to a new guy that may or may not have known it was in bad form to post something for sale with their first post.  It just doesn't seem the NCKA way to me.  I mean really, a new guy walks up to your campfire and I know you guys to be nothing but welcoming in that situation.  Why should this be any different?

Sorry, Biteon. Looks like we jumped on you a little hard. Your location in Norfolk and it being your first post is a bit offsetting. We like to deal locally with bros we have fished with.  There are so many scammers out there - so your location and brand new status set off alarms. Good luck on Ebay
