for parking/launch take a look at the hookup from Tuesday 8/21 posted by drvoolittle, those guys went over the launch situation pretty well.  I dont know the parking rules in SC on weekends though - but Cap's parking on weekends sucks.

Thanks for the tip on where to launch. A friend of mine, not on this board, and I are planning to give it a shot at the WSB on this Saturday as well. It'll be my first time Kayak fishing in that area.

In - will try to get there by 6:30 or earlier. I believe you have to get the parking ticket at Bayside Marine. If boat traffic is heavy it may be best to launch from the opposite side, but driving to the other side is a PITA

I've never launched from there. Is that a beach launch and is Atlantic a free parking. I usually park near the Yacht club and launch at that little ramp located there.

I pay the $10 and launch from the main ramp because it has a nice bathroom, easier launch, safer well lit parking area, fish cleaning station and a place to buy ice. If you launch early, the harbor guy will put a note on your windshield and you can pay at the office before you leave. Aldos saves you $10 but I have run into sketchy wasteoides a few times on Atlantic at 3 AM.

Is it easy to launch a kayak from a dock? And how about bringing it up from the dock? My OB is kind of heavy and I'd hate to roll it into the water when launching it LOL. I can't seem to find any youtube vids on this.
