West Marine VHF warranty= WTG

The title says it all! My radio was giving me trouble  then it ended up a little more broken  Brought it back to west marine were they replaced it No Questions asked 

They didn't have my exact model so the next day they gave me a call at noon to let me know It was there=Good stuff

Bought a new 5 year warranty for 23 bucks, and the cycle goes on

Thanks for the info, been through 3 of these things, none of which lasted for more then 3 months. I finally gave up.

May have to try the West Marine version.

Dude that sucks......Yes I had purchased The Warranty on the first radio, Which led to the second and now the third. Give the west marine a shot. Despite me going through them they are actually pretty solid little radios.

I second that! My radio was acting up as in the speaker was going in and out they took it back with out me having to explain anything! My model was discontinued but they gave me the newer model and the warranty for 23!

i 3rd that.....no mail in, no waiting for repairs, just give me a new one.

i took mine in after the 1 year warranty had expired, and they replaced it....as long as i purchased another warranty....so i did.

this works great for fish finders as well. just replaced mine a few months ago , no questions asked!

WM's warranty ROCKS!  I traded in my broken radio for credit towards a better, a more expensive, make and model.

I bought a standard horizon HX290. Just used a few times, so far so good. Not sure if it will last.

Was there earlier this week and they have a WM VHF 185? on sale for 30$ off.  Very tempted to buy it and the extended warranty 

What makes of radio are you guys returning? 

Is it really a good deal when a piece of critical life saving safety gear keeps failing?

How about getting one that doesn't fail repeatedly.

I've gone thru two of the compact Uniden submersibles, probably due to neglect more than design flaws.  Very interested in what you are using, Sharky, as I have about given up on any hope of saltwater and electronics working out in the long run.
