Daviator and I will watch for you on the road.  I plan to leave Danville around 4:30 and Pick-up Daviator on my way North.

This just in!

Several dozen and possibly upwards of a few hundred "CC Herring" will be having a renunion of sorts at Albion this weekend.  Be on the lookout for sly looking anglers - usually from the northern counties - who seem to have endless supplies of plump herring that seem to defy the laws of being chewed on repeatedly - sticking to a mooching rig for strike after strike from lingcod who don't want "the Big Hammer".   

Seriously though, here's some good news:  Fished the Cape today including an ultra rare and remote spot as well as a couple hours on my old reliable.  The bite was the worst ever!  Conditions were superb and four of us worked herring, Big Hammers, B-2 Squid...  SLOW!!!  So there may be something in the weather or other cycle that's messed up the bite across a large area of the north coast, and it's gotta get good again at some point.  Why not Saturday?
