Going to try for a couple of Ling! Got my rock limit in two hours two weeks ago. Eady launch if you time it right. You will need wheels to get it ll down the trail.
1st Place in a private tournament I did not invite anyone else to be in. (and I barely squeaked out a victory)

I've never launched from a beach before, is this a good beginner place to start? How far is it from the parking lot to the beach? Sunday I'm free and considering either SC or HMB.

I have never wiped here, but if you get a late start, you experience a tougher entry and exit. It is 1/3 mile from parking to beach. Easy trail, but you need wheels. Wind is sometimes a factor. Two weeks ago I hooked my kelp anchor up and took a 50 minute nap. The winds were so strong I couldn't fish. Once they cleared I nailed it. I am taking my 9 year old daughter out ths Sunday.

Steph- 4 mile is a beach launch.  It is also a good surf spot, so there will be some waves. I don't know how Hobie's are for beach launches bacause you will have to paddle it.   Since you have never done a beach launch I probably wouldn't.  But you also went out of HMB by yourself.  :smt001  Check the surfing sites. Surfline is one that I use.
