The Port of Sac

Gonna do an early am launch searching for stripes and salmon.
Ch69 company always welcome.

The one day I plan to work this week. Bummer.

You mean to tell me you eat fish out of that place! Have you not heard of the run off issues. 

I have heard that the striper bite hasn't been too bad in the port the last week or so.

Yeah, I heard....  Gotta go check it out. The AR is just a bit slow at the moment.

Well how did it go? I had a job interview so couldn't make it. It was a tough decision but....

Hope your interview went better than our fishing. 
Got there at 530. Me and Joe launched, saw Tons of top water activity. Lot of baitfish.  No top water luck.
Switched to trolling, lots of hits from small fish.
Landed one. Saw 3 chrome salmon roll
Trolled a swim bait all day.

The stripers were on the drop on the south bank right after the bridge. They had schooled the shad in there and were hitting my trolled swim bait along that drop. It's about 15-20 feet off the bank depending on the tide.
