Got to S.Launch@800 w/jum.minns. wind was light, started along Dam and then around the island. No Stripers, but did get a 16"smallie on the troll(first ever)and a 22"channelcat while eating lunch from shore in a beautiful-grassey-knoll.Saw Guitarzan(Ben and companion). Not much boat activity. The wind did pick-up but not as bad as it sounded like on Fri.I was Pumped to get a Smallmouth! It did turn the Yak 180`!  :smt005

Anita and myself got there at the crack of noon(!) , did a troll-by of the island and drifted acroos to crappie cove and had one helluva time getting back across. lots of wind in the middle. Anyway, we ran into Fish-hunter at the island and hooked into a feisty little LMB that took a HUGE minnow. The rest of the day we trolled along the dam and past the ramp, staying on the west side out of the wind. Marked LOTS of fish and bait balls, but no more fish-love. Didnt see a single boil also.

I almost forgot, when we got back to the parking lot, I tied up on a root and we were stretching and organizing the truck for loading and the guy parked next to us said " you better get a rope!" Well we looked up and our yak is 40 feet from shore and going FAST in the wind! I had to do a quick strip and dive but got it back OK. another 30 seconds and I dont know...
Seems the root was cut in the middle. I wonder if that ever happend to Tarzan? "Holy shit, Jane, the canoe, the canoe!"
