Hope this is the right place for an intro?   New to NCKA and a quick intro.  I retired a couple of years ago and just getting into Kayak fishing.  Been mostly fishing for Black Bass at Lake Hennessey in Napa and Berryessa.  Getting ready to try Alameda Rock Wall area for Halibut but completely new to Kayak fishing there.  Would appreciate any tips / pointers.

My kayak is a Old Town 106 PDL with a NewPort 180 Pro.  So far, love this kayak.  Look forward to meeting some of you on the water!

I'm already a freediver, spearfisherman and shore fisherman of limited success, looking to get into kayaking to try to up my catch by going to where there are actually fish lol.

I don't have a kayak yet, just trying to understand the options right now. I live in San Rafael.
