Craig and Linelle, Thank you. Thank you so much. You guys worked so hard to make this happen, we all appreciate it so much words can't describe.

Thank you to all the sponsors that donated stuff. Thank you Melissa and the Bear Republic for donating the beer. And the artists, thank you!

Thanks to MANBEARPIG(John) and my dad for making a gasket out of a Big Hammer swim bait to fix the tap handle. Not sure if most of you know but a tap handle sprung a leak and was leaking beer everywhere. Those two saved the day! :beer1

Ian and Penny, thank you for putting up with Midge and feeding us.  :smut007

And thank you to everybody who contributed to the "Big Fish" pot. :smt003

We had so much fun. My parents are already making plans for next year.....my parent! And they aren't even fishing.
Conditions might not have been ideal but fishing with Ian(Rockwalker)Dave(NovatoDave) and Tim(T-Dub) kept it fun. We were celebrating everytime one of us would hookup or talk shit and make fun if one of us would lose a fish. Love you guys!

Thanks again Craig and Linelle, I see why this is one of the premier NCKA tournaments.  My family and I had a great time despite the less than stellar ocean conditions.  Good times, good people, good food!

Awesome Weekend! Thanks to Craig and his family for putting this one together. It was my first time fishing the salt water and I can't think of a better way to get broken in. Lots of helpful friends ready to give advice, and help ID fish. Was very happy with my first trip out, I caught 3 underlings, 1 keeper ling, a black, a nice Red, and a Gopher. Thanks everyone for the killer food and hospitality.

Memorable moments include.
Rolling in late Friday night and being blown away by the mass amount of kayakers.
Hanging out late with Al the the A-hull camp.
hooking up with my first ling.
Catching my first keeper right off the point in huge seas!
the potluck
seeing the 31lb salmon
surfing though some rocks with a fishing kayak fully loaded.
most of all hanging out with some of my best friends and family.  :smt008

Here are some of the photos I took of the weekend. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.457701847583812.97728.157958320891501&type=1

So next year do you guys want crabs or abs? I havent spoke with Darrell at the campground yet. Your opinions would be great!

Thanks one more time for the gift certificates you guys. Until next year then............. Fish on!

Crabs!!! Last weekend in July! the ab guys can stay a few extra days and dive on Wednesday!!!

Thanks Craig, Linelle and all the sponsors for another great event! I had a great time (and so did my parents); they could not believe the sheer number of folks who came out for this event, they were amazed on the organization of such a large scale event. They were overwhelmed with the newly formed friendships from soon many that dropped by our campsite; my dad couldn't believe that I have only known most of you for a little over a year! Thank you my NCKA brothers and sisters for welcoming my family into yours! I love you all!

Lastly, they were floored by the amount and variety of food at the potluck!

They only wished the "sun" would have come out sooner than the day we were actually leaving.

Game day: As for me, being temporarily handicap'd, I stayed in the general area of the cove; picking of a few blues & gophers in between a hoard of Canaries..... no other species ventured close to my line that day.

Sunday: Peddled for Salmon for 3hrs for nothing but a busted "stitch" on my leg; came in tight to kelp a pick up a ling and a few rockies for dinner....

Jedmo "Nation" has now grown to a "Continent"!

Congrates to all the winners!

Again, great job Craig and Linelle; you both are awesome!!!

Big Thanks to Craig and Linelle for another fine NCKA event. The friends, the food, the fun, the fishing - fantastic.
Congrats to all the winners, but just being there made us all winners.

I guess I'll start to take some pictures.  Thanks to Craig and Linelle for the great event.  I have memories to last a lifetime.

There is so much to say,  where to start....  Left the house at 3am Friday for a six hour drive.  I guess you have to have been to one of these events to describe it but here goes.  It is a fishy, foody, multi cultural, groovy-hippy good time.

Everyone was stoked to be there and there was such a good vibe in the air the entire time.  Drank a little Friday night,  got up too early Saturday.

I rented an Adventure for the event as my shoulder is tweaked.  I launched about 7 Saturday and started to pedal out.  The yak felt tippy and way more unstable than my 4.7.  The swells were more than I felt comfortable with in that new yak.  The rudder was also coming out of the water when I tried to turn left.  I knew things were not going to go well for me so I pulled the pin 15 min out.  I don't regret that decision.  I have not been sea sick on a yak yet but I felt that was in the cards.  I was thinking that being sea sick on a yak that I was not comfortable with might turn a great time into a really, really bad one.  Went in took a shower and had a great breakfast with Craig and Linelle.  There were a lot of sea sick people coming in.

I made about 50 Patron Margaritas for the potluck.  I try to do as much as I can to support Mooch.  He is so strong  and is an inspiration.  My 100$ in raffle tickets paid off.  I killed it in the Raffle!  I think it got a little old.  Hojoman refused to take my picture after winning the fourth item I think.     A new go pro, power pro braid, some gift certificates, lantern lights, a few other items filled my arms.  The food at the potluck was great!  We have some talented chefs among us.  Hung out till dark at the main site and then off to the Jedmo nation.  I cannot describe the feeling over there.  There is an entire roasted pig on a table, two people making shish ka bobs and a boom box blasting 80's rock!  It was just too much fun.  Crashed at 10:30 and left at 9:00 for a 6 hour drive home.  From the cold and the fog of Albion to the 114 of Lake San Antonio.   These memories will keep me going.

A couple of culinary standouts!  I'm not an adventuresome eater, not even a fan of fish really.  BigJim fed me Uni and I loved it.  Reelknots made his abalone dish and I loved it as well.  Cnew gifted me an abalone that my dad and I will eat as sashimi on his next visit up.

I can't wait for the next one.

Don't miss the next one.  Your life will not be complete without these memories.

Sincerely,

CaptainMorgan.  (the Morgan. you met)

What an awesome weekend we all had at Albion. Thank you so much Craig and Linelle for all of your hard work. Congrats to a job well done to the both of you. Congrats Terry, Marcos, and Adam. Wished I had stayed on the water longer but the motion sickness got the best of me once again but that's nothing new. :smt011 I want to thank James(Abman) for gifting the Nation some abs and uni, Joe(bloodbath),NovatoDave,Harold(Fuzz)and Jim(BigJim), Darius,Rey(lapulapu), and Naoaki for the salmon and other rockfish, oh and Hojo for his special gift that the Nation totally enjoyed as well on Monday, Wes(chumchum), John(fiver). I hope I didn't miss anybody. My family was so impressed of how NCKA was so generous on sharing us their catch. Thanks to all that came to the camp. I only wished I didn't miss Tote and Becky's tiki bar. I'm sure it was off the hook. Much pictures to follow when I get a chance. I still have so much stuff to put away. See you all soon.

That was interesting to say the least. Ben was the man with the plan and Johnny on the spot. Way to keep your cool, bro, and glad we were all around to help.

Luckily we got everything squared away before we drifted into those nasty breakers.
He was the biggest thing ive pulled from the ocean since my oversized Sturg....

Thank you everyone for making this event a great and successful one! Special thanks to Craig and Linelle for all the hard works.  I had a great time fishing and meeting with old & new friends.  I caught my PB Cabie, limit of Lings, and a few RFs on Sunday (just a day late and a dollar short  :smt005).  Here are some pictures I took...
