So the other day I was looking around online and found a used Hobie AI located in Tahoe. I was really thinking of buying it for myself but I knew I would be sleeping on the couch for a while if I did. So I contacted paddleboy84 to see if he was interested in it. We decided to split the cost and we are now the proud owners of a Hobie AI. After seeing everybody else having fun we wanted to also. The Maiden voyage should be sometime next week after Albion.

So stoked about the boat! I can't believe we actually went through with it. We will be sure to have the GoPro running when we take our first adventure.

I need a clinic on how to work the thing. Maybe Chuck can show me at Albion

Nice Victor,

I remember talking to Dan about that at the HoW event and I remember him saying something like he couldn't justify it :).  Guess that changed quickly!

Way to go on the sweet ride. I'll come down and show you basic sailing. I've sailed since my teens. I'm no expert, but can get it done. I saw how the AI worked when I sailed Bens last week. It's a pretty easy deal.

Nice find.  Congrats Victor and Dan.  You guys will have a blast.  We'll have to arrange NorCal's first big Hobie Island owners regatta soon.  Imagine 20+ rigs sailing together.  Get your GoPros ready!

Bummed I will be missing Albion due to work Saturday.  Hit up Scott/Great Bass 2.  He'll be there.  Scott put on an excellent Hobie Island Sailing Basics clinic last week.  You'll be flying in no time flat!
