7/17 Monterey

These reports are driving me nuts!  Plan on launching at 5:30am tomorrow morning for chrome out of the Coast Guard Jetty.  Company welcome and will be on Ch. 69.

is the coast guard jetty MBK?

I've fished MBK and LP many times, but still don't know where Coast Guard jetty is.  thx.

The CGJ and MBK are two different locations but close to one another.  It's in between Cannery Row and the Wharf, where the pb's launch from.

I see... where the dive shop is.  Where do you park, and how much?  where do you launch?  do you need wheeleez?

There are big parking lots right there by the dive shop .bring a credit card and there is little booths that will take 10 bucks to park all day.i don't use wheels.i pull up close to the little sand beach next to the rock jetty and just Carry my kayak and stuff down then go park my truck.very easy.also if you wanna use wheels and stay away from the main boat ramp there is a cement path down to the sand a little farther down the beach .

Remember if you leave your kayak unattended the birds will steal your bait and snacks .dont ask me how I know that

I'm antsy to get out there myself, but since I'll be getting a late start after dropping a kid at summer camp, and the wind is supposed to pick up to 14-19 kts in the afternoon, I'm going to wait till Wednesday or Thursday. Good luck!
