Double fossilized sand dollar found at Stinson Beach low tide in winter. The San Andreas fault lies right at the waters edge damn near at the north end of Stinson. When the winter swells come they throw stuff up on the beach from the depths and at low tide you can find these. If you look at a modern day sand dollar the design is completely different. They must be millions of years old. I should ask inseine. :smt006

Thats a great shell Andy. Notice the lack of worm holes in the outer layer. A very healty abalone. Take a wire brush on a drill and clean all the debris off of the outside of the shell. Then just put mineral oil on it. Beautiful. Wear a mask as the dust is very toxic. Craig
