Hi all,
So I'm taking the family camping the first weekend of August and we are trying Hensley Lake this time any word on the fishing out that way.I'm bringing the yak again and still in the hunt for my first catch off her. I plan on bring my floating light out this time as well to do some night fishing and hopping for some crappie since you can boat in the evening there. But Im game for any fish, I just want to make my first catch off her.

On a side note thanks to those that offered up tips on Millerton lake where we camped a few weeks ago. Was my first fishing trip on the yak. I marked hella fish on the finder and seen them as well while fishing the submerged tress and brush but they wouldn't bite anything I offered to them couldn't even catch a kitty from the shore in the evenings LOL. Oh well it was still a fun trip and a very nice lake for the family.
Thanks
Flip......

DON"T FORGET THE TOP WATER PLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hidden gem of a lake can be awsome at times.
It fishes better later in the day so don't worry too much about loosing sleep. August is mostly creature baits (Brush Hogs, etc) during the day and Top Water (Pop-R, Zara Spook) during the evening.

Let me know when you are heading out and I may join ya.

See Ya Soon,
