Finally got my first salmon on the yak.  About an 18 pounder.  Lost a 25 pounder at the net.  I was trying to net the fish when it was still green.  One of the hooks got caught in the net and broke off.  It was a good day of fishing especially after losing my dad last week, my best fishing buddy.  This one is for you, Dad!

DITTO THAT!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.  I didn't know till now.  He impressed me the first time you introduced me as his home in San Leandro.  I wish I had a dad that enjoyed fishing as much as yours.  Now, we all know where you got your mad fishin' skillz!

WTG Eugene!  Nice chunky salmon and RF's for the table.  I'm sure your Dad is watching and proud to see your smile when you got hooked up with that salmon.

I'm sure your dad played a role in you landing your first salmon, and he will be with you and bless your vessel every outing you take.

Thanks for the report
