Saw WM new fishing yak the pompano 120 yesterday in San Carlos. It looks good with 2 flush rod holders and scotty spining rod holder i think. Had some nice storage and the plastic looked good the price was $499. Not sure what make and model this would be the generic version of but if your looking for a cheap first or back up kayak Id give this one a look over.

Doesn't look to bad for the price, what's that t-hole in the seat area for I wonder, looks like it set for a strap in seat but wonder if comes with a tarpon-like molded in version
formerly Da roblo, Diroblo, white devil, etc..

Looks pretty good for that kind of money.  I agree it would make a good first or back-up yak.

Not a bad looking yak but the old you get what you pay for would keep me away.but if I was seasoned fishing in the ocean I might think twice
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I believe these are made for them by Mainstream/Perception.

Anything with a west marine label is just a rebranded product.  That looks like it may be a WS Tarpon 120i....at that price, I'd be very interested if I were in the market.

Perception/Dagger/Harmony and some one else (WS?) are all one company now.  If perception is making it for them, it is mostlikely a decent boat.  I used to drive by the Perception Factory when I lived in the UpState of South Carolina, they pride themselves on building decent Rec and touring boats.

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

yup, thought about getting it at one point.  I believe it is modeled after the WS kayak.  But it is a great deal for someone in the market for a brand new fishing kayak.  I figured with calculating the cost of seat and paddle + PFD, i'd just go used

Yeah not sure if it came with a seat or not the guys at west marine dont always set everything up with their displays. I know my coworker bought a perception from them with some damage on it and he was able to talk them down to like $ 350 lol. It does look a litle like a WS tarpon.

 You're so cool Ron  :smt001      Thanks !

Why would WS compete with themselves by offering a less expensive replica of their most popular boat?    This smells like Chinese import to me. Typical of West Marine to do this.

I feel sorry for Aquan Sports across the street.  They can't compete at that price.

I think it is the old t120 mold. Confluence Watersports  owns Perception Dagger Harmony Wilderness Wave Sport Mad River Canoe and Advanced  Technology. I believe Perception owns the mold.
