I have got Trinidad dialed in on speed dial.  A Pacific halibut 3 weekends in a row....  This time I caught a salmon too on a bite that has been slow for weeks in Trinidad and a 19" black on the way in.

This year we are going to have a "Barbie Pole" side bet (you can also use a Superman pole, Spiderman pole, ToyStory pole. It just has to be a kids pole). Biggest fish caught on a Barbie Pole wins a 6 pack of beer and a $50 GC to Pacific Outfitters!

I think Crash/Doug and I (still working on a team name) are in for the Barbie side bet.  I am for Alley Cat Amber, not sure what Crash's preference is. When is deadline for TRW2 applications?

Hey guys, a couple of us from NWKA are thinking about trying to make it. It looks like a fun event.

I was also thinking about having my dad head over from Chico and meet me there. It looks like a really fishy area but could someone advise if there is some good fishing close to shore? He's 65 and in pretty good shape but this would be his first time in the salt and his second time yak fishing. He's worried about getting tired or having to cover a long distance to get to the fishing grounds. It looks like you can fish about 100 feet from the launch from google maps.  I've got a spare boat, drysuit, tackle, etc for him. Thanks in advance.

If we're down there a couple of days are there also opportunity for salmon and halibut that time of year?

Not sure what a short distance is, but last year I came in a little early so decided to hit a few kelps. About 50 feet from the launch.
Ended up releasing 3 legal lings in about 30 minutes. Also, on the way out, my first fish of the day was a 20+ black about 75-100 yards from the launch.

How late can we sign up???????
I only ask because I will be out of touch from 9-14 till the 27Th and than need to check the finances before committing. My main concern is that I will be sponsoring the final event of the Yakhopper series the week after, and with my wife being laid off recently, I need to have the finances lined up appropriately. 
If it is at all possible, I will be there, but I really need to juggle the $$$$

Works for me.  I have the girls working hard on team names. So far I've rejected Call Me Maybe.

I'm sure someone posted it...but anyone looking to share a campsite???  party zone... well I promised to be good this yr.... 

number to call? web site? I can outlaw it but being able to roll into the campground after fishing all day and just chilling with the homeys....so much better!!!
