I'm coming back from my business trip and im itching to hit the water. If the weather permits I'll be launching out of Santa Cruz Harbor at the 1st crack of sunlight and seeing if I can catch a few rockie here and there. I've surfed a lot of places in SC but never really fished it so i'm hoping I can hookup with one of the regulars here. I'll be on CH 69 (Papio).

HamachiJohn just tell the judge to push your court date back because the the butts are running in S/C.

Here's the SC Harbor Launch I got from the helpful people of NCKA. Looks like lots of parking. If anyone else has other suggestions on launches that would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully I'll see everyone out there.

best to park in the 2 red zone spots at bottom of the entrance hill...wheel your yaks to little ramp in front of giant kayak rack ((  look right if you are facing docks))...drive back up hill park on street for free..if you do not have wheels unload in red zone at the spot on posted map and same thing for parking just a longer walk back your yak.... don't catch them all just a few big ones.

Is this hookup still happening?  Just got the ok from the CFO to go, but never fished out in SC before.  I tried to view the map above, but it was blurry.  Where will everyone launch from and do I need a FF?

Thanks,

Pete

At the risk of appearing wishy washy, I'm backing out.  Everything is wrong in the reports and the wind is howling right now.

Not wishy washy @ all. It's called "making the right call"

Peace!

This thread is comical:

Sounds like NCKA guys have an elevated level of "t".

Not comical... butt fever is commonly known as hippoglossus-itus to anglers.  It can cause severe symptoms but rarely fatal.  it is not airborne, but highly contagious. I hear it's spreading in the santa cruz area.  Btw, I'm not a doctor.

Peace!
