After going 0-4 yesterday :smt013(5/17), I'm going to give it another try Sunday morning.
This time I'm planning on parking along the main rd and carting down to the water. I'd like to beat some of the weekend boat traffic. There was 27 fishing boats out yesterday(5/17) so it could get crowed this Sunday.
Fish are between 40' & 50'
Pink and purple were the hot colors

I enjoy a lot of Kokonee fishing but I'm unaware of where Oak Shores is.  Can you give a hint?

Its the closest day use area to Goat and Big Island. About a mile paddle to get to the fishing grounds. Off Berryessa/Knoxville Rd.
I wish I knew how to post a picture off of Google earth but I don't

Oh, Lake Berryessa.  Got it.
If you're ever up highway 50 past Placerville, we have some decent koke fishing on Union Valley Reservoir.  This is my first year with a kayak, but when I had my boat, I'd hammer them so hard, I got my wife to fish so we could catch TWO limits!  Ha!

Good luck with breaking that skunk streak.  :smt004

I'd love to fish Union someday. Whenever I'd head up the wheel the Rubicon I always thought about stopping a wetting a line.
Big lake trout too right?

Yes there are.  I'll tell you more about it when we meet up.  I work up there, for SMUD and if you wheel that area, then you probably know quite a bit about the area.
I'm hoping to head up there Monday if the weather doesn't start to blow.  I have every Monday off and can be found fishing after work on several bodies of water up there as well.

Looking forward to your fishing report for Sunday.
