Ha! Nevermind. I just saw how far away Caspar is. Too far for a day trip.

90 minutes from your place bro! Less the you drive :smt002
yep, i make it to russian gulch, two miles south of caspar, in 75 minutes, but coming home is usually longer with day time traffic, and it is pinot days in anderson valley this weekend, so going to be a lot of slow tipsy drivers on your return trip, cameron

Cool. That's doable. Is it better to take 128 or Hiway 20?

Also, hope this changes:
Sun
NW winds 15 to 25 kt. Wind waves 3 to 5 ft. NW swell 4 to 6 ft. Patchy fog in the morning. Patchy fog after midnight.

Whoa, what happened to the forecast? I like 128 myself, but I think 20 is faster.

That's the Wunderground forecast for the general vicinity out to 10nm. Does anyone have a more localized forecast for CaspAr?

128 out of cloverdale is really curvy and gets slow with traffic... Hwy 20 out of Willits is almost as bad, but a little better in my opinion... The boonville cutoff from Ukiah is my favorite way to go.  253 puts you onto 128 at Boonville, which puts the worst part of 128 in your rearview.

Oh, and by the way... I'm sure you guys know this already, but if the conditions end up being too bumpy at Caspar (not likely) you could pop down to Van Damme... almost always FAC.
