Found a peice of history at a Garage sale this morning

This morning at a Garage sale on my way to work, I got 3 newspapers... Santa Barbara news-press, November 23-24-25 1963... In unread, museum quality. (John F. Kennedy assassination) announcing Lee Harvey Oswald as killer. All three days in the aftermath recorded forever and in print. May history never repeat it's self in that area again.....

how were the fishing reports for SB back then?

I was friends with Chet Helms, the late great concert promoter, he was Joplins, Santanas and the Grateful deads first manager, he was the guy who did the human be-ins/ summer of love and all that, and he told me a story of hitchhiking thru Texas with long hair, and getting arrested, taken to jail and the whole town showed up to take pictures of the guy they thought shot Kennedy.

sad day in history, but a pretty cool find. Interesting to see such an occurrence captured that way.
