There has been a lot of discussions about F.F.'s, but I don't recall anyone ever asking which was the most popular.
Please help me do a little reserch on this.

See Ya Soon,

Great price for a pretty good FF. Been using for three years with no problems.

A few months ago, I picked up a Humminbird 365i for my new Revo.  I am happy with it, and it's a great unit.  $299

BUT

My fiance picked up a Lowrance Mark 4 DSI Monday night.  This unit is also $299, but it has down imaging, and we got it on sale for $199.  Then I get it home and start fiddling with it, and it already has female power adapters on it.  The screen is a lot higher quality.  Then to top it all off, The Ram mount for it ($29.99) connects DIRECTLY to the head unit, you don't need the unit's base mount.  This weekend she'll be using it up at Sucia Island State Park in the San Juans, and after that I'm pretty sure I'll have an even WORSE case of FF envy.

I recently switched from an Eagle to a Garmin 400C.  The main reason for the switch is the connectors on the Garmin are much better, IMHO.  Color is definitely worth the extra bucks.

Also,
Feel free to post why you chose the brand you did.

Thanks for the help,

First one was EagleCuda 240 GPS no map, works great,
Second one Humminbird 788ci, Hi res screen, color, gps, intergal map (crappy) then added a FishnChip detailed map, love it works great screen is really great.

The low end Cudas seem to be bullet proof.  Some issues with the plug but don't they all have those issues?

The connectors on the Eagles will rust out on you if you don't use the dialectric grease, even if you never unplug the cable like me.  :smt009 Otherwise I've only seen some foggy displays, but they seem to work good enough.

I voted for Humminbird as I have the old Matrix 17 on my 2007 Adventure.  Going on 7 years.

I also have an Eagle Cuda 350 on my 2008 buddy boat and still no problems although I keep hearing Al talk about his issues and am a little worried.  I try to take care of mine but that day will eventually come.
