Hi Allen,

I saw the post moved up about an inch while spinning and dropped down at the end of the video, Maybe you can lower the point where the rope attach to the PVC pipe to minimize the upward movement.  Maybe it's not neccessary to do that, just thinking out loud  :smt003

Sonny, I think if we moved the string attachment down a bit the line would drop below the lower end cap. It still unfurls but it take more effort wrapped around the mast but doable. We will play with it this weekend. I am bringing enough materials to make at least three set  ups .....and  will allow for a bit of experimentation McGuiver would be proud

I too am thinking of a furling system.
I saw awhile back that there were a few good examples on the Hobie Kayak Sailing Forums.
