My damn camera lens got scratched. I got some grit behind the closable lens cover. when it did open i had scratches galore! now all my pics are blurry. I contacted the manufacturer. I was just wondering if there was any way to fix it short of sending it back. I looked at a few remedies for it online. couldnt see anything great.

Any suggestions?

Hi Chad. The lens is probably plastic which would explain for the cover when not in use. I think your only option is to find how much the manufacturer will charge to replace it and decide whether your money is better spent on a new camera.

And the manufacturer may charge a fee just for examining the issue.

That SUCKS! ...is it waterproof? Dont buy one that has the auto lense cover next time,,it becomes an issue if you cant/dont rinse it EVERY time you use it/ leave it out to dry, not jammed in a damp pocket for weeks.  :smt009

get an old Pentax Optio W20 = they are BOMB PROOF!
