Ya...lol. We moved to Baltimore in '81 so it had to be before then. It's funny - I can't tell you what I had for dinner five nights ago, but I have a lot of memories from Konocti when I was only four or five years old. I remember catching my first lizard there. I remember sleeping on the screened-in balcony of the place we were staying in my brand new Empire Strikes Back sleeping bag. (We had just recently watched the movie at the drive-in theater.)

I remember there was a miniature golf course there and the last hole was a giant snake, and if you hit your ball into a certain hole in the snake you got a free game. My brother had me crawl in there and put the ball in the hole for him. I remember walking out of a restaurant onto a deck and there were two poles there with lines in the water....and both of them had fish pulling drag and noone was around. Also on the same deck we were dropping ice cubes into the water and carp were eating them. I remember getting my head stuck in a gate by a pool, throwing up in the car on the way up there, and my uncle telling me how cowboys chased a girl indian and she jumped off of squaw rock and that was how it got its name...lol.

Wow. Memories. Not sure if this was all on the same trip or over a series of multiple trips. My grandpa was a plumber and his crew did just about all of the plumbing for the resorts in the area, so we stayed wherever we were for free.
