Wow,  That came as a surprise to me.     Been busy lately , barely time to read NCKA threads.

Just finished shaping the molds for the fiberglass hatches.    Looking good so far !

Expecting to have the first ones by the end of April.     Here's a view of the back end.   Dark circles are where the 4" deck hatches will be located  ( for access to wiring etc,).

The  center hatch is more of a "glove box"   storage space.      It could be cut out or altered for access into the hull.  The bow hatch is easily reach-able to provide better access to the inside.
4 weeks and counting,,,  man, waiting is the hardest part.

The  foam hatch covers shown were sprayed with black paint.  The paint started melting the foam within seconds. Always test first !!!   hahaha.  ya think I'd learn by now.

I like the look of the SOT, but I am still drawn to the sit in.  Anything that helps keep you dry has got to be good.

Jim can a person store rods inside the hatch? Like a T13/15? IMHO that is such a missed feature (or home run for OK) on Hobies, etc.

Man,  been so busy with getting this thing up I have not had time to even log in.       Yes,  you can access rods through the bow hatch fairly easy.  The center hatch can be cut-out if desired for below deck access, but it's designed to hold miscellaneous small stuff you want quick access to.  Can also  fit  fish finders, but probably not the wider models. Those would have to be mounted on a Scotty or Ram, then stowed in the bow hatch.
Currently shaping a live bait tank that will fit behind the seat.   With the 4 rod holders it could also serve as an alternative to the milk crate for storing gear.  I'll post  a photo soon showing the prototype.  It looks like this is moving towards mid May before it becomes available.
I sure appreciate all the positive feedback and suggestions coming in.   Thanks !

I still like and prefer the Sit in... but for those surf launches, this sure fits the need.
