What are the things you've all found/recovered/hooked while fishing? Anything interesting? When I think about mine, I found different lures, crab nets, crab snare, bobbers, cheap rod/reel combo (snagged it), rod stands, wallet (with $10 in it), net, and  a whole bunch of those very expensive jeans in almost new condition lying on the beach - True Religion brand I think (must be a very angry wife/gf. Left them alone, might have cooties  :smt009)

Then fished Berryessa last sunday and under the water by the ramp was what looked like a Buck hunting knife. Someone must have dropped it. Went for it and Crap!! it was no "BUCK" but "F*CK". Some Made in China imitation. Oh well...

Last summer we had a dry hot spell. In texas. Most of the lakes dropped down mabey 10-15 ft. my son found a s&w .38. At first I thought it was a cap gun but it ended up being the real deal. Guessing it was used in a crime of some sort we gave it to the police.

I was fishing on a buddy's new boat at Pardee in the river arm, his boat was so new he only had two rod holders installed.  We were using four poles so we had to hold one pole each, he puts his pole down and turns around to do something, he turns around just in time to see his pole fly out of the boat with a trout on the  other end of it.  I started reeling in one of my poles and I snagged his gear plus the fish on it.
A few years ago at Silver lake the fishing was real slow in the fall when the water level was low so we spent the day picking up snagged lures, flashers, and dodgers around the shore line.  We ended up with 18 dodgers and flashers and lots of lures.
Once at Comanche my buddy hooked what he thought was a hard fighting fish, as he started reeling his line in there was a very pissed off Grebe on the line, it kept diving so we ended up having to net it just to unhook it.
Fishing is cheaper than therapy!

When I was a kid, my Dad took us to Yellowstone for summer vacation. While my dad was fishing, my brother and I went rock hunting and found over 50 lures anong the river below Yelowstone Lake. When we got home my Dad took us to the store to get new hooks and rings for our new treasures.
Other than that, I have found my passion, My soul, and a little Humiliation along the way.

See Ya Soon,

I was fishing till way after dark on the South Jetty in Mission Beach, San Diego 25 years ago. On the walk to my truck it was pitch black, and when I  stepped off the rocks onto the sand I tripped over a naked couple doing the wild thing on the beach. I hear a voice that says"hey MF'er, you wanna get shot?". I laughed my ass off all the way to the truck. More of an encounter than a find I suppose............
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

I often hook/see weird things in the port of sac, recently I saw a dead cat floating by the gate, where I've hooked plastic bags, diapers, shirts, and seen needles and drugs floating around at high tide. Most recently at the same place Jason/str8fishin hooked a rug and I hooked a tube sock full of rocks, that one made me a bit nervous.

While bottomfishing for RF, I have landed several 20 + lbs granite groupers.  Actually just a big rock that my jig snagged and I had to bring all the up to the surface.  :smt001

We went diving once to just past Ft Ross. When we got there one of us(not me) forgot their weight belt. Larry and I started diving and whoever finished first would come in and give up the weight belt. On my second dive I pound a weight belt in 20ft of water. It took me two tries to get it in the tube. then we called the dude out and fitted it to him and we finished diving. Weird and wonderful.

Growing up along the River I find stuff constantly Lures, R&R Combos, Wallets,Keys, Boats, couple of Lost Dogs,,cell phones, sunglasses, Ice Chests sometimes full, stringers of fish, arrowheads, grinding stones when I was a teenager we always found a lot of beer, fishing the bay I have caught a few anchors. One time at Lower Twin Fishing for Browns I caught a Fold a Boat with a Motor on it looked like it had just sunk.Sailing at The Farollones we found a Surf Board?? Couple of years ago I caught a W60 on a Gorilla Pod that was covered in algae but still worked. Here are a couple of my favorites found the Wiskey Bottle at Albion still had the cork and some liquid in it. found the doughnut rock and blade along the RR. I have always been one of those guys that find stuff it's almost as much fun as catching

Hooked a net on my last outing, but nothing really that great. Did find a German Shepard floating in the Forebay once.  Still waiting to find a dead body  :smt044 Found many many lures while at FnC's, but most of them un-usable really.  Like finding kastmasters though, easily fixed up!  This one time I caught some line with my lure and handlined it in to throw it away and found there was a trout on the end of the line  :smt044  It was small, not sure how he broke the line, but he was healthy so I removed his hook and sent him on his way happily.  My then wife (now ex-wife) actually got mad at me for letting it go since I handn't caught a fish that day  :smt005  Not that she would ever eat it  :smt011
