Hey guys,

Bloodbath here. Been mulling this over and wanted to see what everyone thought?

What do you guys think about holding RBC3 at Ocean Cove Campground?

Before I put up the official post for the event, I would like to hear what you guys have to say.

The red barn property  now has a new renter and I don't know who it is :smt005

I would still go.....but are they gonna let allen ride around the campground on a dirtbike with fireworks strapped to his head.....seems like the festivities may have to be toned down a bit  :smt010

Brenda at Timber Cove expressed interest in having an NCKA event.  She owns the property across the street and indicated that she would work something out to make it happen.  She even mentioned the possibility of shuttling us from a camping area down to the water.  I don't know if it's practical and I haven't attended a RB event but I know Timber Cove is nearby.  Its hard for me to picture the camping situation but it might be worth exploring.

Timber Cove could not handle an event of this magnitude. Timber Cove is too small a venue for this growing event.
Thanks for the idea, and keep em coming.

Yeah, RBC3 here we come. I honestly think it doesn't matter where you'll have it. People will still come regardless just because you put on a great event. :smt002
Never been to Ocean Cove so I'm excited.

NCUH host's the big ab comp and cook off there. It's a great place for large events. Coin operated showers, the ocean cove store wich has all the crap you forgot. Big group sites and camping on the bluff...if your not afraid of the wind. Can't wait to defend!!!! :)

Ocean cove sounds great Joe, you know my opinion on it and as it's been said, no matter where it is, they WILL come because you put on a great event.

That being said I can't wait to be at RBC3

I'm down for wherever Bro. Ocean Cove would be probably the best option for the area.

OC sounds good Joe. Great launch. The spots back up in the trees in the south west corner is good. We used to launch there all the time. Then it got kind of worked. Its a great spot though.

I think there are 2 issues, where do we camp and where do we fish. I thought the cow pasture campsite, interesting local folk and multiple launch sites was unique and fit the edgy reputation which is RBC. On the other hand, if we camped at a launch site like Ocean Cove, would the everyone have to launch there? Yeah, I prefer the single launch site format because it reduces the advantages of the locals.
