Napa River/Mare Island straights 2maro 2/23

I'm in napa for the week working ,but of course I cant leave my kayak home, so Im fishin after work. Im staying right down the street from sweeny's bait shop and want to hit the lower napa for sturgy's after work(after 3:30). Planning on fishing past dark. Anybody wanna join...Not sure where I'm gonna launch yet, was hoping somebody would chimmy in on some local intel. As of right now, Im thinkin from kennedy park or cutting wharf somewhere..didnt bring the wheeleez so it has to be easy launch. Hope to see someone out there,ricci/fishworks...will have my vhf on 69.

I might be able to get out there on Thursday. I need to rig an anchor or maybe I can make something up quick.

I wish!  I don't get off till 6pm, I left the yak in Sac, and it has no anchor system yet.    Good luck if you end up going.

Kennedy park closes early. Your best bet is Cuttings wharf. Bring lots of bait for I hear crabs are still thick in the area.

    Fishworks try the Napa Boat Club, Small launch but doesn't closed that i know of. Might be too long of a paddle. Loren

launched out of cutting wharf this evening on the outgoing... tried upriver first, the wind was blowing a lil, nada..then headed down river to the train bridge where most of the Pb were fishing..still nada..marked very few fish today but 2 boaters that came in while I was heading out did say they caught a few short sturgeon and stripers too..both where way down stream. I didnt even get one bite...not even from the crabs! I guess all the action is more near by the 37...too far from cutting! Fished from 430-7..not sure where I'm going tomarrow but its not out of cutting. Im thinkin somewhere near 37 if theres A launch nearby or berryessa afterwork.hit me if anybody wants to hookup..916-2178507...

decided to launch out of Vallejo on curtola pkwy at the public boat ramp 2maro after work..will try to head upstream to a fishiy hole if wind doesnt screw up things to bad..feel free to join. ricci.
